Diamond Grading Report

Diamond Grading Report provides an accurate assessment of a diamond's authenticity and quality (cut, color, clarity and carat weight) based on internationally recognized standards. Diamonds with permanent treatments are certified with such treatments noted prominently in the comment section of the report. IGLI Diamond Grading Reports are not issued for diamonds with non-permanent treatments.

Here are the key components typically included in a diamond grading report:
Identification: The report will identify the diamond and provide details such as its shape (e.g., round, princess, emerald), carat weight, measurements, and any unique identifying characteristics (e.g., laser inscription).
Color Grade: The report will assign a color grade to the diamond, typically using a letter scale ranging from D (colorless) to Z (light yellow or brown). Color grading is performed under controlled lighting conditions to assess the diamond's absence of color.
Clarity Grade: The report will assign a clarity grade to the diamond, evaluating the presence and visibility of internal characteristics (inclusions) and external blemishes. The grading scale ranges from Flawless (no inclusions or blemishes visible under 10x magnification) to Included (inclusions visible to the naked eye).
Cut Grade: The report may include a cut grade assessment, which evaluates the diamond's proportions, symmetry, and polish. Cut grades can vary depending on the grading system used by the laboratory and may range from Excellent/Ideal to Poor.
Carat Weight: The report will state the diamond's weight in carats, which is a unit of measurement for gemstones. It will typically provide precise weight details, including decimal points.
Measurements: The report may include measurements of the diamond, such as its diameter, depth, and table percentage. These measurements help describe the diamond's physical proportions and can be useful for identification and comparison.
Fluorescence: If the diamond exhibits fluorescence (a visible reaction to ultraviolet light), the report will note its intensity level, ranging from None to Very Strong.
Polish and Symmetry: The report may include an assessment of the diamond's polish (surface condition) and symmetry (alignment and precision of facets). Grades for these aspects can range from Excellent to Poor.
Grading Diagram: The report may provide a diagram illustrating the diamond's internal characteristics (inclusions) and their locations within the stone. This diagram helps in understanding the diamond's clarity grading.
